Specific program eligibility
Each federal and state program has its own income limits, residency requirements, and documentation rules. For example:
- SNAP — Generally household income at or below 130% of federal poverty line.
- LIHEAP — Income at or below 150% of federal poverty level (varies by state).
- Section 8 — Income at or below 50% of area median income.
- Medicaid — Income limits vary widely by state and household type.
- Pell Grants — Determined by FAFSA Expected Family Contribution.
